| Details: | Have you ever wondered what it would be like to ride a boat on the Sea of Galilee, walk the streets of Jerusalem, stand where the Temple stood, or gaze upon the "place called Golgotha?" Have you ever desired to see the land and the places that you read about every day in the Bible? If so, such an opportunity is available. Pastor Anthony Phillips, of Calvary Baptist Church, will be taking a group on an eleven day journey through Israel on February 28 - March 9, 2012. This journey will begin in Tel Aviv where we will see the ancient city of Joppa. We will travel North to Caesarea by the Sea and then onto Mt. Carmel where we will have a breathtaking glimpse of the Valley of Jezreel (the Valley of Armageddon). After this, we will journey through the Galilee and see sites such as Nazareth, Cana, Bet Shean, the Jordan River, the Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, and many places around the Sea of Galilee (including a boat ride and time of worship on the Sea of Galilee). We will travel as far North as Caesarea Philippi and as far South as Masada, En Gedi, and Qumran. Those interested will also have the opportunity to experience floating in the Dead Sea. We will visit the lowest place on earth and the oldest inhabited city in the world: the city of Jericho. After visiting Jericho, which rests around 1300 ft. below sea level, we will ascend to about 3000 ft above sea level as we enter the city of Jerusalem. There is no city on earth like Jerusalem; it is truly the greatest city in the world. We will spend 4 nights and 4 days in Jerusalem where we will see places such as the Temple Mount, the Western Wall, the city of David, the pool of Bethesda, the Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, David's Tomb, the upper room, and many other places such as the Holocaust Museum, the Temple Institute, and the city of Bethlehem. During our stay in Jerusalem, we will also spend much time looking and thinking upon the places where Jesus spent His last hours before His death on the cross. We will pray beside a 2,000 year old Olive tree in the Garden of Gethsemane. We will see the Roman steps Jesus climbed as He was led to the house of Caiaphas. We will see the places where He was beaten, stood before Pilot, and made to carry His own cross. Then we will visit Gordon's Calvary where you will see the place of the skull and the garden tomb. This is truly going to be a wonderful trip. The brochure price is $2,710 + fuel.
